Crochet flowers

Wow, I haven't written for awhile.  Busy being a new Grandma I guess, lol.  Well I went on youtube and learned to do a double and triple crochet and was able to make these beautiful flowers following the instructions of the Crochet Geek, she is really easy to follow.  So first I made the flower, then the rose bud, then the small rose and the huge rose.  I am thinking of putting the big one on a headband, what do you think??  Well have a good night, Geri

Well it's finally done. It took me a long time to finish because I have been spending so much time with my Grandson, I just cant get enough of him!!!  Well back to crafting for me.  I wants to make some more ribbon flowers, then off to dinner at my Moms for a nice roast, yummy. Ribbon Flowers

Here are the ribbon flowers I made last night. The black one is hard to see but it has a black button in the center.  I really need to set up a spot to take pics!!.  I have been with my grandson a lot , he is my joy!  I did finish the paper bag album so I will take pics of it tomorrow and post them. Brianna's Baby Shower

Here I am with my beautiful daughter Brianna at her baby shower. This pic was from June, 2011.  I made her a diaper cake, it was fun, this is the first one I have ever made.  She was happy with it.  Little baby Elvis was due Aug 7th, but  came two 1/2 weeks early, he still weighed in at 8 "13 though.  He is a perfect little baby!! I love him so much!!!  xoxoxo Elvis.  I was supposed to post the paper bag album I was working on but I didn't get to finish it today because my hunny was hanging some new shelves and putting up my ribbon holder for me.  It looks great.  I want to put up some pics of the before and afters.  I love my work station.  I thank God for my wonderful Man!!  Well I hope you all have a great night.

Reposted pics of the quilled flowers project I posted a few days ago

I am going to post a couple of things that I did a few nights ago.  I hand painted a vase on a oval piece of wood that I painted and white washed, then I added quilled roses and leaves that I made to make the bouquet. I then made the little treasure box, that I crackle painted and added a quilled flower on the top. On the inside I added some scrapbook paper. I love quilling and painting. Like I said it relaxes me and takes my mind off other things going on.  Oh plus my wonderful Mom was over cutting out pieces for a quilt she is making so I had good company.  Today I am spending the day at my Mom's with my Sister, Daughter and Grandson. I love having a Grandson, feels so good to hug and kiss that little guy!!!!!

Thought I would try to make a weekly planner

Turned out nice I think.  I added little pockets in the front and back inside covers.   I am in a super crafty mood right now.  I am making a paper bag scrap book. I will show it later or tomorrow. It's 7:30 already and time to make dinner.  Have a great night!!
